I feel that an ongoing electronic discussion greatly facilitates both the evolution of any computer system as well as speeds up the ANSI process (at the several meetings each year people spend a significant amount of time getting back on the learning curve and there isn't enought time to cover ideas in sufficient detail at the meetings anyway). I would also like to see the UN*X standards being discussed on the net as well for similar reasons. Perhaps this all belongs under net.std - I don't really care where, I just want to see it!
