If the people generating the barrage of requests for net.music.classical
had expended 1/10 as much effort in actually WRITING about classical music
(as opposed to bitching) there would probably be enough material for a new
group.

If new groups were created on the basis of complaints rather than actual
traffic, the only group that would exist is net.flame.

Net.music, at present, does NOT cover "only rock" as some of the advocates
of classical have claimed.  In fact, the bulk of the traffic seems to be
devoted to new wave and punk.  The fact that some classical aficionados
don't see this distinction is simply a matter of their parochialism.
