Their optical disk drive is now being shipped in pilot quantities only. Optimem is an "OEM", which means their products are shipped to others for inclusion in systems. this is analagous to the situation of people who manufacture subassemblies like brakes or carburetors, that the automakers build into finished cars. the Optimem 1000 (?) has about a Gigabyte of formatted storage, write once, read back infinite times.
