We have a carpeted cat tree for our cat who loves to rip at it.  The problem
is he also does 5% of his ripping on the furniture - only when he thinks he
can get away with it.  My wife is threatening to have the vet remove his
claws.  Is there an effective way to teach our cat to confine his ripping to
the carpeted tree house?
