I am soliciting opinions on binoculars for a camping trip.
The binoculars should be compact and light but offer good
magnification.  Wide field of view is not important, though
a `zoom' feature would be desirable.

Recommendations on specific models/brands, as well as `what to look
for in a good set of binoculars', would be helpful.
