I live on a sailboat near the San Juan Islands in Washington (AC not DC) and have seen the following more unusual birds among many others. Harlequin Duck Oldsquaw Gold Eagle Bald Eagle Bonaparte's Gull Kingfisher Blue Heron Rhinocerous Auklet Surf scoter Goldeneye Hooded Merganser Canvasback Does anyone know any odd/interesting facts about any of the above? I seem to see more water fowl than any other types (maybe I just don't look as hard on land).
