I owned a Canon A1 last year for a short time (had it ripped off out of my car), and I am currently close to replacing it with a new camera, but unsure of what to buy. I am a novice to photography and enjoyed the A1 for what little time I it, but since I am going to lay out $$ again, I want the most value I can get. (Plus all the gizmos that I may/may-not ever use and a camera that will not be considered obselete in the near future). The costs are relativley close. OM-4 w/1.4 = $480.00 +/- FA w/1.4 = $560.00 +/-. (N.Y. prices, but could be bargained down in person). Considering my expertise, does anyone advise one over the other, planning to shoot some nature studies in rugged country (will one take abuse better) or is there anything I should be aware of???? Would appreciate any info to help decide on what kind of camera to lose next. Bill Talley Thanks in advance. ittvax!talley
