People will argue either way, but I feel that the automatic cameras put too much distance between me and photography. Others will argue that the automation frees them up to be more creative and allows them to spend less time setting and changing film and gives them more time to compose. So be it, personal preferences. A more logical argument against the T70 is power consumption. How long are those batteries going to last? How 'bout in cold weather? I live in NH and used my A-1 a lot during the winter. I either had to keep the camera inside my jacket most of the time or change batteries alot. Three minutes in open air at 20 degrees F brought the camera to a standstill. Without power you can't use the damn thing. -- David C.
