CS Dept. Lines: 14 You are NOT incorrect in the use of theword "bowels" in your quotation of Oliver Cromwell. Cromwell is quoting the apostle Paul (ah, the pleasures of intertextuality...) In the Hellenic and Judaic world of the time Paul wrote, the bowels (Splaknidzois (sp?) in Greek) were considered to be the seat of the emotions.
