Spock died for a very good reason: Nemoy demanded his death as pre-condition
to signing his contract to ST II. I remember reading about this about 5 mon.
in advance of the film in the Wall Street Journal. They claimed that Nemoy
is tired of people calling him 'Spock' all the time....
