I would also point out that a flame against people, no matter how good it may feel to you, does not necessarily increase the total mental health of its victims, and thus MAY actually decrease the total mental health in the world. Besides, isn't it even better (though closely related) to increase the amount of love in the world? That's why I continue to hold to my faith: so that I can learn how to, and be given the spiritual and psychological resources to, love other human beings -- including, of course, desirable women, but also including people who strongly disagree with me or even those who hate me (NOTE: I do NOT believe that Rsk hates me!). Rsk himself can attest that I have not attained to anywhere near a consistently loving lifestyle (he and I have had a flap or two over non-religion-related stuff). But he should have known me 5 years ago (right, Vic? [our boss]). I'll shut up on this topic for now; but I would compromise the honesty for which Rsk commended me if I omitted a relevant part of the truth; and if my experience with Christ is relevant to an experience as a single which I wish to share with the group in the future, I will share it. I only have to face flames (so far); the early Christians had to put up with messy deaths; I hope I could handle either, but for now I prefer the former.... -- -- Jeff Sargent {allegra|decvax|harpo|ihnp4|seismo|ucbvax}!pur-ee!pucc-h:aeq "...I've got to be where my spirit can run free..."
