I always wondered why people who argued at school board meeting against school prayer were called smug, arrogant, and insulting - just because they didn't want their children learning someone else's Bible! My comments were insulting because they were intended to be insulting; I'm tired of having to listen to others tell me my life would be wonderful if I'd only accept their god(s). Your second set of comments interests me more. You emphasized the word ALWAYS implying that I always think before I act. How boring! Life would be quite dull if people did that. What I said was that I am willing to take responsibility for what I do; I don't ask for your forgiveness, God's, god's, or Charles Darwin's. If I do something stupid, I can learn from my mistake. I have a lot of friends and associates who keep repeating their mistakes over and over because they are absolved every weekend from taking responsibility for their actions. If that's being smug and arrogant, too bad. Waiting for the Age of Reason, Mike Samuels
