It's not easy. It can hurt like hell to watch your ex-SO {get married, find a new SO, move out of state, take down your Wombat Love poster} *but* it seems (at least to me) to be worth it everytime. Personal experience time: In the last 8 months, I've gotten re-connected with an ex-SO, a young woman to whom I was once engaged (gasp!), and whom I lived with for a year. After drifting apart for a couple years, we've found a new kind of friendship based on the closeness we shared, and still share; and it's great. We're going to Wisconsin next weekend for a vacation together. I just hope we don't have to register as "Mr. and Mrs." again; %$&#!! archaic hotel morality. And the moral: Try hard. It's worth it. -- Rsk the Wombat UUCP: { allegra, decvax, ihnp4, harpo, teklabs, ucbvax } !pur-ee!rsk { cornell, eagle, hplabs, ittvax, lanl-a, ncrday } !purdue!rsk
