I think what Wendy (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, you always do!)
was upset about was not the articles on the net themselves but the
implications of the article they pointed to. Women tend to be a severe
minority in this profession as it is, and if we insist on painting them as
goldiggers we'll lose many potentially high quality co-workers. I was also
highly upset by the implications of the articles but I don't think I could
have stated it nearly as well as she did.
