I guess we were all thinking someone else would try for it and none of us would have to make a big deal about not getting up there. Well, the bride threw it and it landed flat on the floor, with noone making any attempt to get it. It was pretty funny. We were all in our twenties, and none of us had ever been married. I think the fact that we were not too interested in marriage had a lot to do with the fact that we women knew about 10 single men for every single woman. In other words, we met a lot of guys who were really interested in a relationship with a woman -- any woman -- since there were so few around. On the other hand, we weren't too interested since we saw how anxious they were to get into a relationship. The pressure made it unappealing. I think a lot of people tend to react to pressure, one way or the other. It just depends on which side of the fence you're on. Anita
