Berkeley Lines: 12 The question is how many pitchers have won two games in a day. My trusty 1981 Baseball Record Book lists no less than 50 pitchers who won two COMPLETE games in a day. The last time it happenned was 1926. Simply winning two games in a day is not unheard of even today. I recall that last year Jesse Orosco of the Mets won two games in relief in a single day (and three in a week). I'm sure that it's happenned many other times. My record book doesn't have an entry for most games lost in a day. Wayne Citrin (ucbvax!citrin)
