Message-ID: <617@ihuxe.UUCP> Date: Thu, 17-May-84 11:24:29 EDT Article-I.D.: ihuxe.617 Posted: Thu May 17 11:24:29 1984 Date-Received: Fri, 18-May-84 02:18:50 EDT Sender: rainbow@ihuxe.UUCP Organization: AT&T Bell Labs, Naperville, IL Lines: 11 Somebody please give me an explanation before I lose it(my sanity that is). A couple of days ago(Tuesday I believe) I was switching through the channels on the tube to see whats showing. I stop at the cubs-reds game. Bottom of the first. Two out. Runner on first. Two strikes. Reds batting. Score 1-0 Cubs. The pitch..... Runner goes..... Ball is in the dirt..... Batter tries to check his swing..... Catcher throws to second as pitch is called a ball.... Runner is safe..... Theres an appeal to third base ump and the batter is called out on strikes..... Cubs run off the field..... Commercial break..... I start flipping through the stations again. I return to the baseball game as the top of the second is ending. The score is now 1-1! How did the Reds score while the opposing team was batting? Help............................
