I feel like such a neophyte reading this, but here goes.
I read that the current ruling on elegibility for the '84
olympics is that palyers may be drafted, and may sign
contracts with NBA teams, but they may not begin workouts
with that team, and they may not do product endorsements until
after the Games.  

Sounds fair to me.
