According to my handy Star Trek Concordance (Original edition, 1969):

In the second pilot, Where No Man has Gone Before (not The Menagerie as was
mentioned in a previous message), "Dr. Piper", the Ship's Senior Surgeon until
replaced by Doctor McCoy, was played by "Paul Fix".
