Last September I flew on Tower Air, a discount airline, to Israel.
I was a bit skeptical at first, but very happy with my choice. I 
signed up for a charter which only left from N.Y (I live in Boston
but have family in N.Y. so I it was a nice way to start the trip).
Between my husband and I we saved about $400. I've flown EL AL
Eastern and British airways in the same direction and there was
no noticible change in service.
