'Thanks for the insightful article on my favorite author, Thomas Pynchon ("Pynchon: The Man Who Won't Come to Dinner," by Helen Dudar, Calendar, April 22). I've never actually read anything of his, bu I saw the NBC miniseries adaptation of "V." I especially liked the part where the alien, Diana, eats the live hamster.
