     I recall an episode where Commissioner Gordon *finally*
figured out Batman's identity.  Batman's response was to dress
Alfred up in a Batman suit and have him make a public appearance 
about a block away from where Bruce Wayne was standing with
Gordon.  Gordon wasn't a real bright guy.
