The judge's instructions to the jury are an essential part of any legal decision, and I couldn't make any kind of informed decision without it. The trouble with the case that they presented was that it was one of those situa- tions in which, legally, yes, the guy was guilty, but the victim deserved to get blown away. The only feeling I came away with from that program was that it was too bad that Landrum wasted all six bullets on the lover, and didn't save at least one for his wife.
