Don't you remember Tyne Daly as Clint Eastwood's partner in Magnum
Force (or one of those Dirty Harry movies).  Harry gets "stuck"
with her for a partner, she saves his life, and gets blown away in
the process.  He gets really PO'd, and proceeds to blow the bad
guy off the face of the earth (but you knew that was going to
happen, didn't you).
