Quite frankly, I don't understand what all the carping about television sf (eg.
V) is about. Why does everyone get so worked up about it? SF is treated no worse
than any other genre on the boob tube.
	On the other hand, it *is* true that people tend to get a bad impression
of sf from skiffy tv shows, whereas they don't necessarily get a bad impression
of, say, detective fiction from watching MICKEY SPILLANE'S MIKE HAMMER.
