Both were dreadful. They were made in 1965 and 1966 respectively. At that time, William Hartnell was the only person to have played the Doctor so one would expect Peter Cushing's Doctor to be similar to Hartnell's. The Daleks themselve were better looking models and, judging from photos from the films and various stories, it appears that the BBC obtained the film daleks (anyone know?). Just to add to dalek trivia, they appeared in two stage plays; one in 1965 (don't know the title) and again in 1975 in 'Seven Keys to Doomsday' with the Doctor played by Trevor Martin. They occasionally show up in odd BBC TV shows (including one episode of Spike Milligan's Q series, as a family of immigrant Pakistani daleks including a baby dalek). Dalek trivia from 'Dr Who and the Daleks Omnibus' (1976).
