Why? >> How does this 'prove' they are in E-space. The "viewscreen" of the TARDIS operated only on positive space coordinates, and E-space is negative space coordinates. The viewscreen apparently was taking the absolute value of its current position, and displaying that ( the outer reaches of Gallifrey ). When they stepped out of the TARDIS it was fairly obvious that they were not where the viewscreen said they were. Later in the episode, Adric "appropriated" a tube from the Starliner for the viewscreen that enabled it to operate properly in E-space. /ed featherston/ DEC Advanced Semiconductor Development Group (DEC E-NET) ROLL::FEATHERSTON (UUCP) {decvax, ucbvax, allegra}!decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-roll!featherston (ARPA) featherston%roll.DEC@decwrl.ARPA featherston%roll.DEC@Purdue-Merlin.ARPA "Excuse me, but are you sure this planet is supposed to be here?"
