First, let me thank you for posting the AMC summaries!  I appreciate them
as I do not have a VCR.

Second, about Nick Davis.  Wow, he's an old character.  Nick was one of
Erica's early husbands.  He was also the original owner/founder of the
Chateau restaurant.  Nick was(?) a very good friend of Mona's , and
'like a son' to Ruth.  The latter always puzzled me for Ruth doesn't
seem much older than Nick.  Nick was last mentioned (to my knowledge)
as moving to Chicago.  Before he opened the Chateau I seem to recall
that he had a bad reputation, but it's been so long, I can't remember
too much about it.  (this was back in the days of Tara and Phil(?)(originally
played by the 'Apollo' on Battlestar Galactica? what was his name?) and
Jeff and Erica -- when they were in school, yet-- and Phil went off to
Vietnam, leaving Tara pregnant so Chuck married her...etc..etc..)
Anyway, I think Nick was Phil's "father".
