Sorry this is so late, but I just discovered this newsgroup.

Nick Davis was Erica's third husband.  No. 1 was Jeff Martin
and No. 2 was Phil Brent.

Nick promised to marry Erica when she was very ill or very depressed,
I forget which.  It pulled her through but didn't last.  How could
anyone stay married to Erica?  As someone pointed out, she's never
really gotten over him.

Nick Davis was also married to Anne Tyler Martin before she was
married to Paul Martin.  Remember her?  She got killed by
some gangsters.  Nick was married before that to Kitty, who was Kelly's
twin sister and Lincoln Tyler's wife before he married Kelly.
Kitty also died, from one of those lingering soap-opera diseases.

Am I the only one who assumed the person in the attic is
Adam's wife, or did I jump to conclusions because of "Jane Eyre"?
