Lines: 10 Ah, interesting. 4.1BSD's ``man 2 brk'' doesn't say anything about zeroing memory. I would say that the System V manual should just say ``... and memory allocated by brk() or sbrk() is likely to be full of garbage'', so that no one has any call to depend on zeros.
