How about a discussion on favorite brands (and grades) of
video tape?  What have you found to be the best or worst
tapes?  

Some of the video magazines publish annual reviews of
various brands, but they never rate tapes for abrasiveness.
Does anyone have objective data on the abrasiveness of 
various brands of tapes??
