The turntable has seen fairly heavy use in the past 2 years (~20 albums per week). Lately, I have been noticing a "fuzzy" sound in the middle frequencies (voice range) when playing albums. The sound is somewhat similar to that experienced when using a dusty needle (though not as pro- nounced). I was wondering if any of you audio gurus knew about cartridge lifetimes; i.e., is 2 years of use enough to wear out a needle? Also, what kind of price range is there on cartridges? The rest of my system is in the $1300 range, so I wouldn't want to spent TOO much for a new cartridge. Thanks in advance - Dave Clark (...!houxm!homxa!wdc)
