I feel that I have to let as many people as possible in on this.
I recently added headers to my '77 Z28 mostly for an increase in
power,but have been extremely surprised at my increase in my mpg
figures.I used to get 14-15.5 miles per gallon but the last 3
tankfuls have returned 18-19 mpg which is an increase of 25-30%.

Now before you all rush out and buy headers ,the ones I bought 
are Cyclone's AR-1 header (~$125) . I had seen that they make
some pretty radical claims in their advertising but it seems
that it has pretty solid foundation.

I can't say that I've noticed that much increase in power but
I need a top end overhaul (worn valve guides etc) and may see
more power incease when thats completed.
