They are indeed expensive, I know that Sidi, Duegi, and Vittoria offer these things - the Vittoria shoe covers price is $26.98. Most come with zippered backs and some sort of Velcro ankle band to secure them. They all come with a cut out bottom to allow cleated shoes access to the pedal. Other goodies I've seen are toe-clip covers and rain chaps - the rain chaps I've seen were made by Burley, priced at $35.98. The rain chaps were offered by Palo Alto Bike Shop, Palo Alto Ca - they have a fairly good mail order catalog available.
