I am planning to buy my wife an all-terrain bike (also called
a mountain bike) for her birthday.  She does light-to-moderate 
day trips, some hill climbing and commuting.  She would not 
be using it for off-road riding.  She will usually be carrying
a 25 pound (and growing) baby on a baby seat on the rear.

Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with ATB's?  
My current preference is the Miyata Ridgerunner; I'd especially
like to hear from anyone with experience with this bike.
