I use petrolium based paint thinner - also called solvent, artificial 
turpintine (sp?), and Varsol (by Imperial Oil Limited) and have been
for more than ten years.  It is not very flammable or toxic, its fairly
cheap, and its available everywhere.  Is there a reason why I should 
change to something else?
