How about having no joint accounts at all!!  (Sometimes this isn't
possible--for example, most people like to hold securities jointly.)

Another thing to consider--if you don't have a will, some states will
split your estate equally between the remaining family members.  If
you have a 9 month old son, he could suddenly own half of your house!!
