I don't mind cheap rates for junk mail, in fact, I wouldn't even mind if the government subsidizes junk mail in return for making telephone solicitation illegal. Junk mail I can ignore, or read later for a laugh. Telephone calls bug me no end. Actually, now that I think of it, I would probably leave it legal for non-profit organizations to do telephone solicitations, they need all the help they can get. Plus, I can't imagine a law like this passing Congress without leaving political phone solicitation legal :-) Well, now that I've opened my big mouth on the net, I think I'll write a letter to my congressman, or would this be better done at the state level?
