Jenkins) Newsgroups: net.cooks Subject: Chocolate Supreme Cake - Delicious Message-ID: <349@ihuxu.UUCP> Date: Mon, 9-Jul-84 14:41:20 EDT Article-I.D.: ihuxu.349 Posted: Mon Jul 9 14:41:20 1984 Date-Received: Tue, 10-Jul-84 02:07:30 EDT Organization: AT&T Bell Labs, Naperville, IL Lines: 39 Chocolate Supreme Cake 1 Yellow Cake mix 1 3oz box vanilla instant pudding mix (or French Vanilla) 8 oz sour cream 1/2 cup oil 1 cup water 3 eggs 1 6oz package _m_i_l_k chocolage chips 1/2 cup nuts (walnuts taste best, pecans are also good) 1 4oz German chocolate bar Mix cake mix, pudding, sour cream, oil, water, and eggs in large bowl. Fold in chips and nuts. Grate, shred or sliver all but 4 squares of German chocolate bar and add to mix. Bake in greased 9x13 pan at 350 for approximately 40 minutes. Cool cake comletely before frosting. _F_r_o_s_t_i_n_g 1 stick butter 1 8oz cream cheese 1 box powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup nuts mix all ingredients together until smooth and creamy. spread on cake. sprinkle top of frosting with remaining 4 squares of slivered, grated, or shredded German Chocolate bar. This is an excellent cake, very rich and chocolaty!! (Tupperware has a very nice shredding bowl which works very well for shredding the German chocolate.)
