The two systems are in different cities, with (right now) only 4800 baud lines between them. The obvious contenders are: 1. uucp that runs under VMS (emulating unix under VMS and then running uucp under that unix is evidently too expensive) 2. TCP/IP over 4800 baud lines (given that we could get the BBN TCP/IP drop-in, does anyone know if it would work with tty lines?) 3. Something Else. Suggestions to me please....
