But I also dislike *most* commercials, especially those which assume I have a brain the size of a snail. I've been going to school for over 16 years and if there's one thing I can't take, it's advertizing aimed at the average 45-year-old-stupider-than-a- cow housewife or the beer-and-football-are-my-life slob who spend more time in front of the TV in a week than I spend sleeping. Consequently I never watch TV. Now, just because I don't like these ads, and I certainly don't care which douche (a capitalist plot anyway) makes a woman feel "more confident", this doesn't mean they should be eliminated. I look at it like this: there are those who are interested; the ad was directed at them; I just happen to be here now. They do not mean to offend anyone, but the do. Since I don't like to complain too much (though this does feel good) I just don't waste my time or money on TV. Reading news and hacking (or programming, if you prefer) are a much better use of time. -- john -- John Dilley [ihnp4] !hpfcla!jad
