First, I am only too happy not to soil your personal environment with what is admittedly a disgusting habit for anyone who doesn't partake. I *always* ask when I am in your cars and houses. All you have to do is tell me no, and I don't do it. I think you'll find that the majority of smokers (even those who don't ask first) are willingto forego the weed if asked to. Once I visited a friend for a week, and he asked that if I wanted to smoke, pelase go outside. I did for the whole week; I think you'll find most smokers are (at least with all the hoopla lately) sensitive to those kinds of requests, and willing to comply with your legitimate request not to have your air polluted. Secondly, I'm getting tired of the kind of blatant garbage that many of you are spouting about "ALL smokers are jerks who should be shoved out a car door if they light up". Some of us aren't like that. (One of my favorite poems is by Rudyard Kipling, a tongue-in-cheek paean to the "great god Nick-O-Tine", in which our hero's wife is giving an ultimatum -either me or the cigar. He lights up, ruminates, and decides on the cigar - the poem ends with the line: For a woman is only a woman, But a good cigar is a Smoke. ;-) -- From the ever smiling, .). ever happy fingers of: V Gary Benson + + John Fluke Mfg.
