RE: What to do to prevent people from smoking in your car

I simply ask them not to smoke.  It works every time (although I
must admit it was *very* difficult the first time I told my
father he couldn't smoke a cigar in my car!).  Actually, maybe
one person in the last ten years has lit a cigarette in my car
without asking first, and then I asked him to put it out.  That's all.
Are the rest of you in the habit of giving rides to impolite people?
