I found the original posting to be novel, funny, and not particularly
offensive.   I found your complaint to be unfunny, dull, and more
offensive than the original posting.

When your rug rat gets flattenned by a drunk, it doesn't make a hell
of a lot of difference what kind of crap gets posted to netnews, does
it?  I don't drink alcohol when I drive, I don't drink alcohol when I
don't drive.  I think drunk drivers should fry in hell.  I often
think all drunks should fry in hell, they don't contribute an awful
lot to the rest of us while in that state.  But you won't see me
bitching and moaning at people who have the sense of humor to post a
clever note about drunk driving or anything else.  The subject matter
doesn't matter, what makes the difference is whether I think it's
funny.

So, David Whitney, make your contribution.  Just realize that we
associate you with what you post.
