It derives from the game darwin somewhat but is a little easier to implement. A.K. Dewdney discussed it in the "Computer Recreations" column of Scientific American a few months ago. I wrote an implementation of it and posted it to net.sources. As soon as I get a copy of mcvax!piet's bug fixes (are you listening? Did you not get my mail?) I will post version 2 unless too many net gestapo protest. meanwhile people can send me requests for individually mailed copies, but watch out; there's a lot and intermediate site administrators might get upset.
