If you have identified scare monster, drop it, stand on it for a while, then pick it up and read it. Stand on a SM scroll and quaff hallucination. Not only will the monsters not know WHERE they want to be, they won't know WHAT they want to be. Try and eat a staff of drain life. Wield any potion. Quaff restore strength, poison, extra healing, hallucination, and then gain strength (must be in that order). Read remove curse, then put on all your cursed items.
