One small piece of footage which somehow did not make it into the final
edition of the film was as follows:

Near the end of the film, when the huge mother ship, with all its lights,
bells, and whistles, came over the mountain, there were two programmers
standing there watching.  One turned to the other and said...

"Must be an MVS installation!"

[MVS is, no doubt, a trademark of the company which I shall for once avoid
calling by even a clean derogatory nickname, International Business Machines]
