One day the hiker asked the runner to go hiking with him in the mountains. The runner agreed to go. The next morning they left for the mountains. As they rounded a corner in the mountains they came upon a very hungry mountain lion. As they stood frozen trying to decide what to do, the runner very carefully put down his back pack, took out his running shoes and put the shoes on as the lion drew nearer. The hiker looked at his runner friend and said, "Are you crazy you will never be able to out run that lion!" The runner replied, "I know, but I can out run you".
