Doug is generous to offer, but I've never seen a copyright notice in
any of the several complete copies which Kirk Mckusick, the author,
long ago posted to the entire net.  They already ARE public domain!
They certainly contain no Bell code, unless you count #include <sys/dir.h>,
hah.  So use them!
