Message-ID: <741@abnjh.UUCP> Date: Sun, 15-Jul-84 14:05:20 EDT Article-I.D.: abnjh.741 Posted: Sun Jul 15 14:05:20 1984 Date-Received: Mon, 16-Jul-84 07:08:43 EDT Organization: ATTIS, NJ Lines: 46 Not too long ago I posted an article asking the same thing (and got no response except from people whoare also looking for micro-PROLOG). Well just last week, my search has finaly dug up the references: micro-PROLOG is available from (and written by?): Logic Programming Associates, Ltd. 10 Burntwood Close, London SW183JU, ENGLAND I found the reference in a book new to our shores entitled "Beginning MICRO-PROLOG", R. Ennals, 'A Hands On! Computer book', Harper&Row, NY, NY, 2nd ed., 1984. Originaly published by Ellis Horwood Ltd, West Sussex, England, 1983 and Heinemann Computers in Education Ltd., London, et al. ISBN: 0-06-669000-5(pbk.) According to their Appendix 3 on 'Availability', micro-PROLOG is available for micros with Z80's and CPM, including North Star Horizon, Heathkit Zenith (which one?), Apple II (Z80 and upper/lower case upgrades), BBC Micro/ACORN, Sinclair Spectrum(there's a low-cost alternative!), Commodore-64 (yet another!), and for micro's with CPM/86 and/or MS-DOS (which lets in my Rainbow-100!). A Reference manual is available as part of the software, or seperately. Now, just as soon as I call a friend in Engalnd to go buy it for me, I find this in the AUG 84 'Digital Review' magazine, in the DEC Directory section on page 95: SOFTWARE/UTILITIES: PROLOG LANGUAGE INTERPRETER ...LPA PROLOG INTERPRETER is available now. For CP/M80 and MS/DOS-PC/DOS systems... Programming Logic Systems, Inc. 31 Crescent Drive Milford, Conn. 06460 (203) 877-7988 Well there it is. Since I found it just yesterday (Saturday), I don't have pricing info. Somehow I bet my friend on London can get it for me cheaper than you'd get it for here in the US. When I know I post it to the net, assuming I'm still on after 7/20 (when my present project dies.). Marc Kenig "anybody know of a good AI job in Northern NJ? Not kidding, ...abnjh!cbspt002 I have LISP, SAIL, learning PROLOG..." note: only at this address until 7/20.
